Wientjens: ‘Take the next step now!’

‘Take the next step now!’ – and so Wientjes chose the user-friendliness of Merkato

The traditional Dutch family business Wientjens produces, maintains and supplies water treatment plants for industrial washing machines and steam cleaners.

Due to the growth already achieved and its ambitions to continue to grow, Wientjens was looking for a user-friendly way for its dealers to more easily prepare their own quotations. By recording all product information in our configurator, dealers no longer need to have all active product knowledge themselves. Wientjens will also use the project catalogue to be able to offer several different configurations in one project.

And we are live!

Meanwhile, Wientjes has been live since mid-February with the configurator, for Belgium. And it is running like clockwork! To start with, an SSO (single sign-on) link was realised with the AFAS Client Portal. Furthermore, a link was built with this same portal for order processing. Furthermore, the aforementioned project catalogue is also live, which means that a dozen machines can be included in a single project to form a system. Finally, thanks to security rules, dealers can only view their own projects.

Also nice: transport costs are calculated on the basis of the postcode entered and the square metre price is calculated on the basis of the machine’s surface area.

So for Wientjens, the first international configurations are a fact. We are curious to see what else our configurator has in store for the continued growth ambitions of this industrious company!
